Marcus Aurelius Carinus, Roman Emperor from 283-285 AD, Æ Antoninianus, Tripolis mint 283 AD. Obverse: Radiate-crowned and cuirassed bust of Carinus facing to the right, legend surrounds, “IMP C M AVR CARINVS NOB C”. Reverse: Carinus stands on the left facing to the right, draped and holding sceptre, receiving globe from Jupiter which stands to the right, draped and holding long sceptre, “TR” in field between, mintmark “XXI” in exergue, legend surrounds, “VIRTVS AVGG”.
