Marcus Aurelius Commodus Antoninus, Roman Emperor of the Nerva-Antonine Dynasty from 176-192 AD, Silver Denarius, Rome mint 183-184 AD. Obverse: Laureate head of Commodus facing to the right, legend surrounds, “M COMMODVS ANTON AVG PIVS”. Reverse: Pax standing facing to the left, draped and hold cornucopia in left hand and olive branch in outstretched right, hexagonal shield at foot, legend surrounds, “TR P VIIII IMP VI COS IIII PP”. RIC-86; RSC-940. Some attractive underlying rainbow toning and an attractive portrait, weakly struck on reverse, good Very Fine / Very Fine.
