Description
Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, Roman Emperor of the Nerva-Antonine Dynasty from 161-180 AD, Silver Denarius, Rome mint 162-163 AD. Obverse: Bare head of Marcus Aurelius facing to the right, legend surrounds, “IMP M ΛNTONINVS ΛVG”. Reverse: Concordia enthroned facing to the left, draped and holding patera in outstretched right hand and resting left arm on small statue of Spes, corncucopia under throne, legend surrounds and continues into the exergue, “CONCORD ΛVG TR P XVII COS III”. RIC-59; RSC-37. Well centred and fully struck, a nice piece, choice good Very Fine.
