Obverse: Shorter, crowned bust of King George V facing to the left, wearing coronation robes, legend surrounds, “GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:”. Reverse: Date within ornamental panel over sceptres of office saltire, ornate panel above bearing the new Parliament House within, designer’s initials “K· G·” (George Kruger Gray) below, denomination surrounds below, legend surrounds above, “PARLIAMENT · HOUSE · AUSTRALIA”. KM-31. Certified and graded by PCGS as Mint State 64.
The obverse Latin legend reads unabridged as “Geōrgius Quīntus, Deī Grātiā, Britanniārum Omnium Rēx, Fideī Dēfēnsor, Indiae Imperātor”, with an English translation of “George the Fifth, by the Grace of God, King of all the British People, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India”.
